| The college has five computers and
accessories. The configuration is as
follow: |

P-IV 40GB HDD,
1.44 FDD, 52X CD ROM, Multimedia,
MS Window, MS Office, UPS, Laser Printer,
Internet Facility. (More Computers
shall be added shortly). |

The Computer
Centre remains open between 10 A.M.
to 4 P.M. on working days. Access
on holidays and Sundays and on off
hours as per the requirement of the
staff. The centre is used by the staff
mostly for accessing the information
in the net for supply of study materials
to students and own research purpose.
Pay roll work of the college is done
through a programme developed in MS
EXCEL. A few members of the staff
have been trained to operate and work
on computers. |

Besides the Office
and Library, Physics, Chemistry, Botany,
Zoology and Commerce departments have
a computer each. Dept. of Mathematics
shall shortly have one computer of
its own. |

| Boys are required to wear
sky blue shirt,black trousers and black
shoes while girls are required to wear
sky- blue kameez,black salwar,black
chunri and black shoes. |

The YRC wing
of the college maintains the first
aid box well equipped for the purpose.
Since majority of the students are
the children of the employees of Rourkela
Steel Plant they enjoy the best indoor
and outdoor treatment in Ispat General
Hospital. Members of the staff have
been issued medical card for indoor
treatment in Ispat General Hospital,
one of the most well-equipped and
best hospitals of the State. The medical
bill amount on indoor treatment is
recovered from the salary of the staff
in easy installments. Members of the
staff are also paid medical allowance
every year. Periodical health check
up of students and staff is done by
visiting doctors of local hospitals.
Students are covered under insurance
(Safety insurance). |

a spacious playground of its own for
organizing different sports events.
Sufficient sports equipments are available
as per the requirement of the students.
Carrom and chess are supplied to students
in the Boys Common Room and Girls
Common Room. |

It is proposed
to provide separate Hostel facilities
for boys and girls. To encourage SC/ST
students of the state to read in the
college, Sri Juel Oram, Ex-Minister,
Tribal Welfare, Govt. of India has
already sanctioned a sum of Rs. 7
lacs for a hostel. The work is expected
to commence shortly. |

| Optimum Utilization of its
Infrastructure Facilities |
 |
| Classes are allotted
to each and every lecture theatre/
class room. Rooms have been allotted
to different departments for holding
their seminars. Book Bank facility
helps in optimum utilization of books
in the library. The Departments are
encouraged to use LCD, OHP and Computers
for teaching purpose. UNITECH is permitted
to use the classrooms in the morning
hours. Banks/ Railway authorities
etc. are permitted to use the infrastructure
in Sundays and Holidays to conduct
different examinations. The youth
of the neighbouring villages are permitted
to use the college playground after
the college hour and on Sundays and
Holidays. |
